Zenith neutralization method. This method has been used in the alkali refining of rapeseed oil, peanut oil, corn germ oil and tallow, and it is also suitable for the re-refining of cottonseed oil.
The general alkali refining method is to disperse the lye in the oil phase to neutralize free fatty acids, that is, oil-in-water (O/W) type. The zenith neutralization method consists of three stages. The first stage is crude oil degumming, the second stage is deacidification, and the third stage is bleaching.
